There are three newly updated models for 2010, the Guide, the Ultra and the Phantom 6000. The Ugg boots sale is a full-on technical winter boot with integrated waterproof gaiter and zip arrangement along with Primaloft insulation for warmth and essentially replaces the Phantom Lite model from last year's range.

Scarpa says the Guide is the 'most Bailey Button UGGboot in the Phantom series' with its multi-layered uppers 'providing the ultimate barrier against cold and wet conditions'. Features include a waterproof OutDry membrane fabric upper, EVA cushioning, Dyneema laces Classic Tall UGG Boots a fastlock arrangement, PU shock-absorbing inserts in heel and forefoot and Vibram's Total Traction sole down below. Stiffening is courtesy of aluminium and there's a TPU mid-sole with variable thickness for comfortable walking.

The boot's very much aimed at technical users, with a very precise fit, and is suitable for winter mountaineering, ice climbing and alpinism. When we first saw the boot at last year's OutDoor trade show in Germany, Scarpa's Brian Hall emphasised the benefits in fit, lightness and improved cushioning.
